Political malcontent Mark Lusky currently believes that the only thing worse than a Democrat is a Republican.
A longtime Independent, he has voted for more Republican presidential candidates than Democrats—including Ford, Reagan, Bush 1 and 2 and Dole. The idea of Camelot appealed to him as a child, so he supported JFK in 1960. That Camelot feeling was rekindled in 2008, when he voted for Obama in his first election. Disgruntled with both Obama and Romney in 2012, he voted for the Libertarian. In 2016, he voted for Clinton (actually against Trump). The only person who’s ever been able to influence him to vote a straight Democratic ticket is Donald J. Trump.

“I will aim to offer thoughtful and compassionate ideas to help We the People seek first to understand. With all the polarization, hate, prejudice and just plain stupidity poisoning this nation, I will provide positions that help people build on what they have in common. Amid all this reason and rationality, I will occasionally express outrage and opinions that show my bias. We’re all human and possess a variety of emotions. My intent is not to suggest that we should eschew these, just get past them to find much-needed help and healing for a country that clearly is hemorrhaging hate.”

Remembering Sam Lusky
This blog is dedicated to Mark’s late father, Sam Lusky, known as the “Gray Flannel Head.” It connotes the wisdom that comes with “seasoning” and experience, coupled with the innate ability to see beyond the obvious or easy positions in life.

“My dad was a visionary and a pioneer who blazed new trails in every profession he practiced. He served as a city editor of The Rocky Mountain News and founded what would become the Rocky Mountain region’s second largest independent advertising and PR agency. His insight and foresight inspire me to this day.”
